And One, han tret avui, el seu nou CD que porta el títol de Bodypop 1 ½. Nous temes, remescles de cançons seves i un reguitzell de versions (ara en diuen covers) de clàssics dels ’80, és el que ens proposa aquest ......................grup? ..............alemany?

Grup? Si be és cert que sempre s’han presentat com un trio o un quartet, la veritat és que només el seu cantant, l’Steve Naghavi, és l’únic que ha estat present sempre durant quasi els vint anys d’història de And One, mentres que la resta, han canviat quasi a cada publicació que han fet. A més, l’Steve Naghavi, és el compositor i l’ànima de tot el que es fa sota l’etiqueta d’And One.

Alemany? Diu la llegenda, que l’Steve Naghavi va haver de fugir amb la seva família, del seu país, l’Iran, travessant les muntanyes a peu durant la revolució islàmica que va esdevenir a l’Iran. Però cal ser justos, i veure que la integració de l’Steve Naghavi ha estat total, i ha fet molt per la cultura pop del país germànic.

And One, sempre tenen a sobre, l’ombra dels, Depeche Mode ja que la llegenda també explica, que And One, va néixer per la fascinació de l’Steve Naghavi, per Depeche Mode, i la veritat, And One, mai ha fet res per treure’s aquesta ombra de sobre. En l’únic concert que he pogut anar d’And One, van fer tres versions de Depeche Mode, quant no els hi feia falta, ja que tenien prou repertori per fer dos concerts llargs de qualitat, sense recórrer a fer versions de ningú.

Si hagués d’escollir entre And One i Depeche Mode, em seria difícil, però em quedaria amb els alemanys, ja que són més rics harmònicament, més “canyeros”, i quan es tracta de posar a prova la bellesa de la música, els And One, aconsegueixen paisatges sonors preciosos. A més, no són tant esnobs com els tot-poderosos Depeche Mode, que viuen en el seu castell aïllats del seu univers musical, com si estiguessin per sobre del bé i del mal. Només cal veure, les versions que fan uns i altres. Mentres en Martin L. Gore, fa versions de temes ..........”estranys”, els And One, no se’ls hi cauen ells anells per fer un homenatge a grups que teòricament són competència directa.

Les cançons d’And One, es poden dividir en tres tipus, EBM, Tecno-pop i cançons a mig ritme. Avui en penjo una de tecno-pop i un altre de les de mig ritme.

Buscant cançons pel programa “Més enllà de la Porta de Tannhauser” de Radio Pica, he descobert a aquest grup, que només coneixia de nom. Entre totes les cançons de diferents grups que he trobat amb un títol adient per la temàtica del programa, m’han cridat l’atenció unes quantes, entre elles dues d’aquest grup i que avui les penjo aquí. Una és “Another World” amb un vídeo fet amb un muntatge de Final Fantasy X (la “X” vol dir 10, no sigueu malpensats o malpensades) I l’altre és “Eisplanet” amb un vídeo fet per mi (no és res més que un passi de diapositives) És un tema cantat en alemany i que demostra que la fonètica alemanya pot ser tant maca com la de qualsevol altre idioma, i que els alemanys també pateixen del mal de l’amor i d’allò que en diuen “Femme fatale”.

ADAMSKY/ADAM SKY - Memories of the future

Aquesta setmana és el torn, de l’Adamski, (que pel segle XXI fa servir el nom d’Adam Sky. La veritat és que tinc certa debilitat per ell, ja que el primer que vaig veure d’ell, va ser una actuació televisiva, on sortia ell, un sintetitzador i una caixa de ritmes TR 909, i em va fer gràcia, ja que per aquell temps, jo feia música i feia servir la mateixa caixa de ritmes (que encara conservo). Em vaig comprar el seu disc Doctor Adamski’s Pharmacy, i em va recordar una mica a la música que jo feia, o pretenia fer. El disc és molt bo. Més tard em vaig comprar un altre disc d’ell, Adamski’s Thing. Un àlbum molt diferent, on només hi han cançons mentres que l’altre alternava les cançons amb “temes” (peces musicals allunyades de l’estructura clàssica d’una cançó) He escollit una cançó de l’Adamski’s Thing que no és single, però que m’agrada molt. De fet aquest àlbum també el trobo brutal.

No he trobat cap vídeo, així que l’he fet jo. Queda clar que soc molt amateur, i que he d’aprendre moltes coses per fer vídeos.

APOPTYGMA BERZERK

11/01/2009:
Amb dos dies de retard penjo la cançó que toca aquesta setmana. La cançó escollida és “Starsign” i el motiu és el començament de l’emissió des de Radio Pica, del programa “Més enllà de la Porta de Tannhauser”, realitzat per l’Associació Cultural Mecanoscrit. El programa està dedicat a la ciència-ficció, la fantasia i el terror, i han comès l’errada de deixar-se assessorar per mi, en lo referent a les cançons que es podran escoltar dins del programa. El passat divendres 2/1/2009, va ser la tercera edició del programa i va ser el primer que es van deixar influir per mi, posant una cançó d’Adamski i aquesta d’Apoptygma Berzerk que penjo avui (la d’Adamski / Adam Sky, espero penjar-la el proper divendres)

Per cert, el programa s’emet en divendres alternatius, a les 17h.

He penjat dues versions de la cançó, una és la d’estudi, amb un vídeo clip “pirata” i un altre en directe (aquest blog, té debilitat pels directes)

Ja ha passat any nou, i ara venen els Reis d’orient, amb el rei negre, el rei ros i el rei blanc. I això m’ha fet pensar amb “King is white and in the crowd” de Simple Minds.

Els Simple Minds, per mi, han estat un dels grans, amb una època daurada, que es va acabar, com molts altres grups, amb l’intent de la conquesta del públic nord americà. Fins que van intentar aquesta conquesta, Simple Minds, ens van deixar tot un seguit d’àlbums imprescindibles per la supervivència humana. Van començar amb el “Sons and Fascination” i “Sister Feelings Call”, seguit de “New Gold Dream (81, 82, 83,84)”, Sparkle in the Rain”, “Once Upon a Time” i per acabar amb el “Live in the City of Light”.

No he trobat cap vídeo que sigui fidel a la cançó, i he optat per un d’aquells vídeos que es pengen al YouTube, amb fotos del grup.
