Amb motiu del dia del pare, i de Sant Josep, tenia pensat penjar una cançó sobre el tema, però l’actualitat mana, i a última hora, he hagut de canviar-ho. La notícia que diu que els DEVO han tornat als estudis per enregistrar un nou disc, és prou important com per fer-los un forat. Pel que sé sobre els seus últims concerts, segurament serà un disc al voltant dels seus inicis post-punk, que és una època amb cançons interessants, però que ni de bon tros, tindrien cabuda dins d’aquest blog.

És l’època tecno d’aquest grup la que per mi és imprescindible, i gràcies a ella, m’he interessat per tota la carrera del grup. DEVO és un grup que s’ha de jutjar en tot el seu conjunt, ja que sembla que tota la historia del grup, va ser planificada des del principi, i sembla que re s’hagi deixat a la improvització. Cada cosa que fa DEVO, està perfectament estudiat, i si bé, durant la seva carrera, han canviat molt d’estils musicals, la filosofia del grup, s’ha mantingut inalterable en tot moment.

Devo, és per mi un dels grups més interessants de la historia, pel univers propi que han creat, i per la mala llet que es gasten, amagada molts cops en cançons aparentment superficials i banals.

Ha estat difícil escollir les cançons per penjar, precisament per la dimensió del seu projecte, i una cançó sola no pot ser mostra de la seva tasca. He estat temptat de penjar sis o més cançons, ja que moltes d’elles, tenen detalls d’altres i tot, com he dit abans, sembla lligat des d’un bon principi. Finalment m’he decidit per una joia d’un directe que he trobat i que no podia passar per alt. També una entrevista i un altre directe, on podem veure com el temps, passa per tothom.

Ja sabeu, llums tancats i el so a tota canya.
